Although not technically a pun, this comix is stretching the limit of acceptable behavior by way of comedic bankruptcy. You may judge for yourself. I, personally, find the joke a bit nutty. (OH SNAP!).
If you don't get it, google "as you wish".

Here is a follow up to science lab. It's a story-arc. 1 hour's worth of brainstorming on a Saturday morning, jacked up on coffee, brought this one to life. Plus, I'd been wanting to work on the science lab block people. Featured is the children's television show being interrupted by the pirate tv broadcast.
Watch as it unfolds.
On a separate note, I tooled up the minor animations in this episode with boostworthy, an Actionscript 3 tweening engine. The tweening engine is tight. What is not tight is AS3 performance when scaling. I spent a long time fighting this animation, trying to get the level of smoothness that I wanted. It originally had a zoom out / pan instead of the circle mask. Whenever I zoomed in past 200%, the performance choked. I spent a long time troubleshooting this (yanking out the boostworthy code, yanking out the bitmaps, converting complex vectors to bitmaps). After a lot of performance troubleshooting, I've come to the conclusion that flash can't perform as well as I'd like. Adobe wizards are working on an engine to marry c++ to actionscript. We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, I may spend more prolonged periods of time working on the backend of the art, rather than the art itself. Such is the life of an engineer.

This is a comic of what goes on at my job. As an engineer / scientist, I can vouch that this is 100% authentic.

Here's a newspaper article about my Formerly Fuscia Friend Mary-Kay. Mary-Kay was a 6 foot tall drag-queen dinosaur that was crushed beneath the wheel of some hoodlum's van.
There's no good reason I blacked out the personal information. I just want my stalkers to try hard once in a while. I relish the thought of some whackjob going from town to town and looking at the local library's microfiche collection of the local paper. Hint: My town rhymes with Stum-shintz-kin-urban-oplolis.

This is a prototype for some interactive art I'm working on. The first example is an art gallery (how meta). My ultimate goal is to continuously introduce new rooms or spaces for you to interact in. They will be interconnected, so new material will connect to old material. It's like a giant postmodern nonsensical MUD. Some rooms will be animations. Some will be spaces to walk around in. Some will be similar to old Sierra adventure games.
So, to give an example, I've created three rooms of an art gallery. Next I will probably add a couple more rooms of actual cosby sweaters. You will just walk from one room to the next. Think second life with stylized vector art and no flying wangs.

Being the rube that I am, I was completely unaware how easy it is to get PS2 audio files from the PS2 disc and consequently play them on your computer. (Katamari Damashi being my current favorite, as well as hundreds of other games with nostalgic effect).
Chipamp will get you a collection of Winamp Plugins capable of playing a ton of video game audio formats. Go crazy.
Zophar has an add riddled site that contains some examples of PS2 audio format files
Wikipedia has more information on the audio format.
Overclocked Remix helped put together Chipamp. They host an add riddled site that hosts other peoples' video game soundtrack remixes. Some of them are awesome like this
A boy and his blob remix. Others are horrible trance remixes of horrible trance songs. There is gold in them thar hills, but there is crap too. You've been warned.

It's finally here, folks. Screw National, it's Intergalactic Cosby Sweater Day. Friday, January 25th 2008.
I'm going to the thriftstore to unearth the most heinous, obnoxious, disgusting sweaters so we can celebrate the connection between our eyeballs and our cerebral cortex.
For anyone who cares, Intergalactic Cosby Sweater Day for next year is going to be Friday, January 23rd 2009. Don't let that confuse you, though. It's still a year away.
