Music: Bobby Conn, King For A Day Print Email

Bobby Conn's "King For a Day" is another smash success, a gift to the listeners.

Once again the indie rock stylings of Chicago's own Bobby Conn grace us with his fuzzy guitars, violins, cameo musician appearances, and last but not least, his excellent falsetto.

Bobby's music is simultaneously hard and driving, and well textured; complex. Although not as political as Homeland, the album is still philisophically heady enough for a lyrics junkie. The theme of the album is being elevated to a position of excellence, just before being plunged back into the banal. I can't recommend him enough.

Who would like this album: Queen Fans.

Who would hate this album: Homophobes.
